With only a couple weeks before the school year begins, a group of students are coming together to speak about about education in BC.
The BC Student Alliance (BCSA) is hosting a rally of high school students at the Vancouver Art Gallery on Saturday, August 27. The rally will be an opportunity for young people to speak out about education and other topics which affect their future.
Speakers at the rally will cover topics including:
- the need for more student representation on the school board
- the importance of social justice within schools
- education beyond the classroom
The BCSA invites teachers, parents, and other community members to stand with BC's students and hear their concerns.
Date: Saturday, August 27, 2016
Location: Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street, Vancouver. (The rally will be set up on the south side of the gallery, on Robson Street.)

The BC Student Alliance is an organization founded by and for students who believe students should have a say in their own education. The BCSA believes the educational system in BC should empower students, promote creativity, and encourage learning not only in the classroom, but in the community.
