Poverty and Social Isolation Focus of Richmond Transit Referendum Forum

Who: Co-sponsored by the Richmond Poverty Response Committee and the Metro Vancouver Alliance.
The Metro Vancouver Alliance is a broad based alliance of community, labour, faith and educational groups working together for the common good.
“Better transit would mean people who are now socially isolated could participate more fully in community life,” says Maria Robinson, Metro Vancouver Alliance spokesperson. “And everyone benefits from better public transit. Cleaner air and less carbon pollution are things everyone should support.”
