(Re)development 101 for Churches: Housing Civic Academy (Part 1)

April 2, 7-9pm, Saint James’ Anglican Church, 303 E. Cordova Street, Vancouver

Most faith leaders are not housing development experts, yet many congregations own valuable, underdeveloped property that allows them to consider new possibilities for the future of their organization. Come participate in a power analysis of development in the region. We will examine the tools used by developers, municipalities, and non-profit partners to deliver housing. We will look at where landowning churches fit into this picture, and we will strategize about development plans that can help you make decisions on your own terms and live out your values as a faith organization.

This event is by registration only. Register online at metvanalliance.org/calendar and make note of your member organization, or email info@metvanalliance.org to request an invitation.

Venue details: Tea and refreshments will be served. This venue has an accessible side entrance and an accessible, universal washroom. Location is easily accessible by transit and meter parking is available at low rates.

We gratefully acknowledge that this event takes place on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
