Faith Caucus: Organizing for Congregational Strength

    STRONGER TOGETHER: Strategy Summit Event

Join lay and clergy leaders from MVA member organizations as we discuss how the organizing model can be applied internally to strengthen our organizations. As MVA member organizations, we believe that building relationships with leaders from other denominations and faiths stretches our ability to put our faith to action in public life. But before we are able to be influential in our neighbourhood and city, we need to begin by laying strong foundations in our congregations.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive with enough time to get registered and settled in. Tea, coffee, and a light breakfast will be provided.

This event takes place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

    VENUE DETAILS:

To enter the lower hall at the church, you need to walk around to the back door of the church on ground level. There will be signs indicating the entrance. Accessible washrooms are available at ground level.

Accessible by transit on the n. 20 bus. There are 12 free parking spots available on a first come, first serve basis at the Co:Here building down the street (email audreyaguay@gmail.com for the access code). Street parking is available on surrounding side streets (take note of parking restriction signs). Pay parking is available under Supervalu on Commercial Drive.
