  • Tough Conversations - keeping your cool when things get challenging

Our bodies respond instinctively when we feel challenged: the neck or jaw tightens and the stomach gets queasy. Physical discomfort requires physical strategies. This training offers simple techniques to get you and your body working together so you can handle the challenge and communicate effectively in a way that feels better.

Come prepared to ignite your curiosity and to explore new ways of taking care of yourself, especially in those tough moments.

    Learning objectives:

    • To experience tuning into automatic cues at an earlier stage of feeling uneasy.
    • To practice a variety of effortless tools you can use right in the challenging moment that helps you think clearly and feel better.

    Please arrive by 5.45 pm.

The BCGEU Lower Mainland Area Office is located in the Broadway Tech Centre on Renfrew Street between Grandview Highway and Broadway, across from the Renfrew SkyTrain Station. Street parking is available on Renfrew and Hebb streets.

Yes! I want to take an active part in Metro Vancouver Alliance!

MVA is made up of over 50 member institutions - a broad based alliance of community groups, labour, faith and educational organizations whose members all work together on common issues.

If your institution is affiliated to MVA, let us know how you'd like to get involved!

If your institution isn't affiliated yet, let us know and we'll be in touch!
